About the Cled half medium:

Cled culture medium for isolation and quantification of microorganisms present in urine samples. The lack of electrolytes inhibits the formation of biofilm from Proteus strains.

About the MacConkey half medium:

MacConkey agar is a selective, differential and enumeration medium used to isolate gram negative bacteria.

In this medium, lactose-fermenting bacteria can be differentiated through the formation of pink colonies from bacteria non-fermenting lactose, with formation of colorless colonies.
